Speaker: Advanced Analytics for Remote Sensing

Mr. Andrew (Andy) Hoagland serves as a Senior Data Analytics Engineer for HawkEye 360, a Radio Frequency (RF) data analytics company that operates a first-of-its-kind commercial satellite constellation to identify, process, and geolocate a broad set of RF signals. In his current role, Andy creates historic and predictive models for maritime domain awareness, signal mapping, and interference detection leveraging proprietary geolocation data. His work has been profiled in Slate Magazine, WIRED Magazine, and Popular Mechanics and he has finished at the top of several Google machine learning competitions. Andy is a Marine Corps veteran and former All-Source Intelligence Analyst having served in government before moving into the private sector as a data scientist. Prior to joining HawkEye 360, he served as Chief Data Scientist at a startup and an IT strategy consultant specializing in process and quality consulting at a top global IT firm. He received his M.S. in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University and is an MBA candidate at the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
