Nathan de Ruiter is a Senior Consultant, based in Montreal, Canada. Since joining Euroconsult in 2011, he has advised a wide range of international clients including satellite operators, manufacturers, equipment providers and financial institutions. Nathan’s key interests revolve around high throughput satellites and satellite broadband services. Currently as a Senior Consultant for Euroconsult’s Satcom practice, Nathan plays an integral role in contributing to the successful execution of client engagements through the development of project management, quality assurance and professional consulting and research methodologies.

Over the last three years, Nathan has managed and contributed to more than 25 consulting missions for satellite operators, ground network providers, satellite manufacturers and financial institutions, including Harris Corporation, Lockheed Martin, SSL, Ex-Im Bank and ESA. His speciality lies in commercial due diligence, market analysis, financial forecasting and strategic planning.

Nathan is also a major contributor to Euroconsult’s research reports on satellite communications such as Satellite Communications & Broadcasting Markets Survey and Company Profiles: Analysis of FSS Operators. In addition, he is the Editor of two thematic reports on High Throughput Satellites and Hosted Payloads.

Prior to Euroconsult, Nathan was Senior Manager at S.M. International Financial Advisory, a boutique advisory firm dedicated to the infrastructure sector. Nathan also worked at seed capital firm Neotech Capital, which invests in new media and telecom start-ups. In this management role, Nathan assessed business plans and developed commercialization strategies for multiple technology start-ups.

Nathan holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, The Netherlands with a dual major in Strategic Management and Innovation Management. He is an invited speaker at several international conferences including World Satellite Business Week, SATCON, ICSSC Ka-band conference and PTC.
