Ramesh Ramaswamy is vice president of International Sales and Marketing in the International Division at Hughes Network Systems, LLC (Hughes). In this capacity he is responsible for the strategic development of products and services to be offered by Hughes in the international market.

Mr. Ramaswamy began his career at Hughes in 1986 as a software engineer and was one of the original designers of the VSAT (very small aperture terminal) satellite product line. Prior to his current position, Mr. Ramaswamy was assistant vice president and general manager of the Asia/Pacific Region, responsible for business development and profit and loss for the region. Previously, he was responsible for business development in the Middle East/Africa region and before that, was responsible for program management including installation of and technical support to VSAT systems around the world.

Mr. Ramaswamy holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas, Arlington, Texas, USA and a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Madras in India.
