Dr. Ko Ogasawara is Vice President & General Manager responsible for all of space business at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI).
He obtained a Master of Engineering degree from Kyoto University in 1988. He started to work at Nagoya Aerospace Systems, MHI, as a structure engineer for Japanese primary launch vehicles, N-II, H-I and H-II, and Japanese Experimental Module, “KIBO”, of International Space Station. In 2008, he was assigned to manager of launch vehicle performance analysis section of Space Systems Engineering Department. Since 2018, he has been Vice President & General Manager of Space, Integrated Defense & Space Systems.
