As co-leader of the Hogan Lovells Space and Satellite practice, Randy Segal has handled many types of transactions, from day-to-day matters to the most complex international transactions for industry operators, investors, and technology providers. She has been involved in taking companies public, advising on acquisitions, divestitures, and complex cross-border joint ventures, as well as large satellite system development, deployments, and funding. Randy has represented investors at every level in the U.S. and internationally on their investments into space projects, providing senior equity and debt, strategic and financial investments, and sovereign investments at every stage of the life cycle. This has included project financing and multi-jurisdictional transactions for every type of satellite and NewSpace project.

As an advisor to technology investors and their portfolio companies, Randy has advised on innovative transactions focused on convergent and hybrid transaction structures, including human commercial space flight, big data analytics, IT, AI, wireless systems, spectrum licenses, environmental analytics, position location technology, drone technology, terrestrial positioning, and other innovative technologies.
