Steven Soenens is an experienced professional in product marketing, product management and engineering of broadband and video solutions for broadcasters and cable, telco, satellite and mobile service providers.
At present, Steven is responsible for product marketing of DataMiner with Skyline Communications. DataMiner is the leading multi-vendor network management and OSS system deployed by more than 1000 customers globally, including many tier-1 media, satellite and service provider companies.
In his past career, Steven has taken responsibility for worldwide product strategy and product management for video, IP and satellite solutions with Newtec, Scientific-Atlanta and Cisco Systems.
Steven´s key area´s of expertise include end-to-end management of multi-vendor media and broadband infrastructures including public and private cloud data centers (NFV) and IP networks (SMPTE 2022 and 2110, SDN control) for broadcast contribution and exchange, (remote) production, studio and MCR operations, playout, distribution over cable DOCSIS, satellite DTH and VSAT, telco DSL, FTTx, DTT and OTT.
