Speaker: IoT on the Road: Connected Consumer Vehicles, OTT, and the Self-Driving Car

As SVP of Land Mobile, Tom is responsible for the strategic development of Kymeta’s connected car program. He is charged with cultivating key partnerships and managing internal teams to deliver Kymeta solutions to the automotive industry. Tom is a recognized leader in connected car, and brings over 25 years of experience delivering safety, security and infotainment solutions to mobile platforms.

Prior to Kymeta, Tom founded Splat Interactive which created IPTV applications that enabled content companies to engage with consumers across multiple devices. He was also a co-founder of VoiceBox Technologies where he helped develop the world’s first in-car natural language application for in-car and cloud-based functions. He has been a featured speaker at Global Space Congress, Telematics Update Detroit and Creating Urban Tech Berlin, and has written articles for IQT Quarterly and SatMagazine.

Tom is a Seattle native, earning his MBA from the Executive MBA program at the University of Washington. He also holds patents in voice based purchasing, voice user interface and cooperative conversation technologies.
