Janet Nickloy is vice president of Strategic Initiatives for Harris Corporation’s Space and Intelligence Systems segment. Space and Intelligence Systems offers complete Earth observation, weather, geospatial, space protection, and intelligence solutions from advanced sensors and payloads, ground processing, and information analytics.
Nickloy ensures the breadth of Harris’ capabilities are fully employed to serve the customer community, leveraging cross-segment offerings, strategic partnerships and comprehensive mission solutions.

Prior to her current position, Nickloy was the vice president of Responsive Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Programs, providing discriminating mission solutions for customer intelligence needs leveraging smallsats, hosted payloads, and conventional satellites.

Previously, she was vice president of Strategy and Business Development for the National Systems business unit of Harris Government Communications Systems, where she established and executed growth strategies for end-to-end mission solutions in intelligence collection, analysis, and distribution. During her tenure, the organization saw unprecedented 30 percent year-over-
year growth.

Earlier positions include vice president of Engineering for National Programs, director of Business Development for Aerospace Mission Solutions, director of Business Development for Space Communications Systems, and director of programs for NASA Programs.

Nickloy was elected and served as the 2013 and 2014 chair of the Hosted Payload Alliance and was honored as the 2014 Woman of the Year from ViaSatellite. She is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and Women in Aerospace (WIA).

Nickloy has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati. She attended the Mahler Advanced Management Program and University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Leadership Directions Program.
