Susan M “Suzy” Scott, MSN, RN, WOC Nurse is an experienced subject matter expert, researcher, author, educator, and independent consultant for perioperative pressure injury prevention (PPIP). She developed the “Scott Triggers” the first surgery specific risk assessment tool for the operating room and was a significant contributor in the development of AORN’s PPIP Toolkit. She was recognized by the American Academy of Nurses as an “Edge Runner” for the Perioperative Pressure Ulcer Prevention Program.
She is currently a PS/QI Medical Educator at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Office of Graduate Medical Education and Clinical Instructor in the College of Nursing in Memphis, TN.

Most important she is a RETIRED VA Nurse after 34 1/2 years.
