Dena Salamon, MSN, RN

Dena Salamon has been a part of the Cleveland Clinic enterprise for 23 years. Her career began as a surgical technologist in the cardiac surgery unit, during that time Dena obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Ursuline college in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2003 she transitioned to the Liver Transplant Team as a transplant coordinator where she was responsible for all aspects of scheduling and coordinating pre transplant care. Additionally, Dena worked as a clinical specialist on the wound VAC team. In 2012 Dena began her career in leadership as the assistant nurse manager for an ASC and in 2013 she returned to the in-patient setting as the Operating Room Digestive Disease Surgical Institute nurse manager. Dena has been instrumental on several process improvement projects and has had many positive service line outcomes Dena completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at Grand Canyon University and has represented Cleveland Clinic as a speaker at several national nursing conferences. Most recently, Dena has been named the Director of Surgical Nursing for the main OR’s at Cleveland Clinic.
