Desirée Chappell is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Louisville, KY at Norton Audubon Hospital. She received her BSN from University of Louisville and her Master in Nurse Anesthesia from Texas Wesleyan University. Ms. Chappell is one of the clinical leads for the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery program at Audubon Hospital and has been involved with various aspects of design, development, implementation, as well as process audit and refinement for the program over the past year and a half. She is also a clinical lead for the Norton Healthcare System. Desiree is an active member of the American Society for Enhanced Recovery and is on their Board of Directors, the American Association of Nurse Anesthesia, and the Kentucky Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Desirée is passionate about Enhanced Recovery and the improvement in care for the perioperative surgical patient and speaks nationally and internationally about her experiences over the past 2 years.
