Speaker: Not Just Another Fairy Tale! Getting Surgeon Participation in Value Analysis Committees

Adonica Dugger is the Administrator of Surgical Services for University Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas. In this role, Dr Dugger oversees all areas in the Surgical Service Line, including outpatient surgery, operating room, sterile processing, perfusion, materials management, anesthesia, and post anesthesia care. Over the last several years, Dr Dugger has worked to improve the bottom line by working with surgeons and the surgical services team on supply cost and usage. This work has led to a Physician Value Analysis Committee, a committee that has helped to save thousands of dollars at University Medical Center.
