For many oil & gas operators, LTE is the answer to a wide-array of their needs, providing enough connectivity for both dependable communications and the latest 4.0 technologies currently being implemented. Commercial deployment functions differently than a typical public cellular carrier, however, and can cause issues if not established properly. In this session, we will look at the current industry trends for LTE, how public and private networks can co-exist, and what challenges have evolved in the shift to LTE.  

This session will explore digital oil and gas industry trends related to automation, environmental regulation, safety and security. The upcoming wave of “fiber to the sky” hybrid high-throughput and low-latency connectivity solutions including Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellations will further enable cloud-based applications and SD-WAN integrated networks for remote sites. This presentation will outline strategies for implementing these new technologies and reveal findings from case studies that highlight fully managed services for onshore and offshore solutions. 

Oil and gas is starting to more widely adopt AI, but there are pain points. It's hard to find enough data scientists and then implement the models they produce. In this talk, Rajiv will share how Automated AI changes the practice of data science using several case studies. The case studies will show how it’s possible to draw upon your existing experience workforce to start building predictive models. Automation can also take the timeline for projects from months to days. Finally, automation promotes a culture based on reuse and replication, which enables continuous improvement.
